Das Wattenmeer/ the Wadden Sea is celebrating it's 10th anniversary since being inscribed by the Unescos's World Heritage List. The area can be found in Western Frisia (Netherlands), Eastern Frisia (Germany ) and Denmark, comprising of some 500km of coast line. It is an area  with ever changing landmasses, due to human intervention and the nature of itself, being a tidal landmass, islands form, disappear and change constantly.
The name gives us a good idea of our common ancestral language background: the Wadden Sea (English), das Wattenmeer (German), Wattensee or Waddenzee (Low German), Waddenzee (Dutch), Waadsee (West Frisian) die Heef (North Frisian), Vadehavet (Danish).
When travelling to Germany the South and South West of the country are the most popular areas but the North Sea's Wattenmeer coast offers incredible exeriences.
