German movie Schussangst - Gun Shy
SBS 2 will show the German movie Gun-Shy (in German "Schussangst") on Tuesday, 20 April 2010 at 9p.m.. Gun-Shy tells the story of a young loner working in the alternative civil service (alternative to the duty of serving in the German army). After meeting the mysterious Isabella his protective instincts awake and he falls deeper and deeper into an obsession to possess her.
Shot in the former East German city of Halle in 2003 "Schussangst" won a major price at the San Sebastian Film Festival. The well known German journalist Dirk Kurbjuweit wrote "Schussangst"  in 1998 (Fischer Verlag, Frankfurt am Main). Film director Dito Tsintsadze described his movie as a "poetic thriller". Starring Fabian Hinrichs as Lukas and Lavinia Wilson as Isabella.
