German Travel Vocabulary for Travel to Germany
German is one of the best languages for you to know if you’re travelling through Central and Eastern Europe. German is also spoken in Austria and Switzerland, and many Eastern Europeans speak German as a second language. Many people in Germany speak some English, but might be reluctant to do so.
Locals appreciate it when travelers make an effort in saying at least a a few words in basic German, some greetings or asking something the German way, no matter how inarticulate they are. Very often, when you have started talking to locals in their language, they’d be appreciative enough to talk to you using your own language. It’s the effort that counts. It’s always handy to prepare yourself even with just a small set of grammar and vocabulary.
The travel blogs will help with a few vocabulary sets. They will be updated, so keep reading.
