Language study
There must be just as many different reasons  why we want or have to learn another language as there are languages to choose from.
Work opportunities abroad, communicating with distant family members, being able to read a book or listen to music in the original language,  chatting to international friends, being able to communicate in holiday countries overseas, just to name a few. Maybe you just want to get the grey cells working a  bit and extend your horizon or look for a new challenge.
Whatever the reasons are, before commencing on that new task there are some questions one might want to ask oneself.
- Why do I want to learn a new language?
- How much time do I have at my disposal?
- Should I learn alone or with someone like minded, a partner, work colleague, friend, family member?
- Should I learn at a school or at home with e- learning or self study?
- Is a class environment better for me or do I prefer private tuition?
- Is there enough course material available for the language of my choice?
- Do I know someone who speaks the language?
- Are there meeting groups in my chosen language in my local area?
- When do I have the chance to practise my new found knowledge?
- Do I have a time frame, until when do I want to know how much?
- Is this language doable for me?
- Do I have enough stamina?
After some self assessment and asking yourself those questions it is easier to find a suitable learning style to suit your needs. Whether learning in a small group, a class environment, online study or one on one tuition, one of the main keys to succeed is the right study environment. After all only if we are happy with our learning choice we'' be able to go through it.
